No equipment, all the fun; let’s box-step into the ring!
Objectives:
- Participants will understand how "tough" cardio kickboxing and "sassy" cardio dance—sometimes viewed as opposite styles of workout—can seamlessly combine and cater to enjoyers of either/or
- Participants will learn new, unique boxing, dance, and HIIT-style moves to incorporate into their own classes (e.g. back elbow strike into a shake)
- Participants will reflect on examples of text painting—a musical technique term I apply to choreography which means that the moves reflect the literal meaning of the song's lyrics—in which either dance, boxing, or HIIT moves exist and enhance the fun-level of the song or fitness routines (e.g. in my routine for the song BOOMERANG by Wanna One, a twist punch up and down simulates throwing a boomerang)
