​Carolyn Erickson

Carolyn Erickson is the President and CEO of CE Consulting, LLC and is a 37 year veteran of the fitness industry. From teaching classes and training clients to multi-unit health club management, Carolyn is a former District Manager for sixteen 24 Hour Fitness locations in San Diego.  She served as the Director of Sales & Business Development for Jillian Michaels BODYSHRED. Carolyn is a published author and currently the National Education Sales Director for Savvier Fitness. She is a co-creator for Extreme HIIT Chaos and a program specialist for Jillian Michaels BODYSHRED™, GOFLO® Trainer, Stroops, & Barre Above™.

Pumped Up Strength

Pumped Up Strength is a new approach to resistance training. Utilizing combination movement patterns in a targeted, rhythmic progression, its superpower is the dynamic integration of upper and lower body movements set to fun music. The result? A sweat-drenched, functionally efficient workout that will challenge your body in new ways, improve lean muscle mass, and rev your metabolism.

Now that you can create progressions with exercises, what can you do to take this a step further...... how do you turn that into Bada**? Progressing and regressing exercises with tools or variations is one thing, but devising progressive protocols for specific outcomes is another. Let's first distinguish between Progressive Exercises and Progressive Training, then we'll design results driven programming for pt clients, small group training, and G X classes by applying and executing 10 innovative training protocols that need to be a part of your tool box.

Rian Harris

Rian is a professional Yoga Instructor with regular classes at Charlotte Yoga and Y2 Yoga studios. He had my first studio practice in 2006, which was bikram yoga. He tried it on for a few weeks, and it was cool, but it didn’t quite fit what he was looking for. He took teacher trainings in the summer of 2010. His experience was amazing. He gained a deeper insight into himself and his practice, and now gets to share more of himself not only as a student, but also as a teacher. 
"I fell in love with this practice because it always provides an opportunity to experience the biggest and brightest parts of myself."
"I teach kids yoga, and give group and private yoga instruction as well. I instruct classes that create space for you to experience your inner teacher, for you to cultivate a healthy and mindful practice, and for you to be content with where you are on your path."

When he is not practicing on my mat, he is channeling yoga into other areas of his life. He is creating living food, and guiding others through the philosophy and art of organic living food preparation.
Yoga is such an integral part of the healthy lifestyle that he has embraced. Yoga has infused him with a greater sense of alignment, wellness, mindfulness, and gratitude.

HIP-HOP YOGA FLOW
Sunday, February 13th- 8:00AM-9:00AM
You may find Rian's approach to yoga a bit out of the ordinary, but he likes it that way. You will get a dynamic flow that focuses on cardio, strength and flexibility all to the soundtrack of Hip-Hop beats that help to motivate and inspire. He believes that your practice should be fun, but challenging; and teach you how to show up on your mat and, as a result, you will start showing up in your own life.

Southeast Collegiate Fitness Expo

The Southeast Collegiate Fitness Expo is the premier university fitness & wellness experience on the east coast. More than 500 attendees from 40 to 50 universities come together each year for a weekend of networking, continuing education, and fun! The 20223 Fitness Expo at UVA marks the 30th year of the event, which began as a 1 day choreography exchange between the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, and James Madison University.
